Here at GLD, our tight-knit team of engineers work like a perfectly oiled machine to deliver quick, effective solutions to M&E problems. We are focused on consistently providing a well thought-out solution to a problem that you can move forward with and that keeps things running smoothly.
Expertly run by it’s founder Laura Dunlop and supported by her husband Gary and the rest of the GLD team.

Founder
Laura is a chartered building services engineer with over 25 years’ experience. Her career has encompassed consulting, contracting and in-house engineering teams. This gives her great practical perspective.
Laura is active in promoting women in property and women in construction and has sat on numerous committees in this regard. She was also nominated for Best Electrical & Mechanical Engineer at the European Women in Construction and Engineering awards 2019.

Associate director
Gary has worked in the building services industry for 30 years, starting out as an apprentice Electrical Design Engineer. He worked in a consultancy in London as an Electrical Engineer before meeting Laura and moving to Manchester to become a Senior and then Principle Engineer.
Gary worked with AECON and Hilson Moran where he worked for 11 years. Gary brings a lot of experience to the table and his natural leadership style works wonders with the rest of the GLD team.
