New build, multi tenanted building over 3 storeys. Standard developers specification included gas for heating and hot water serving apartments. The client requested a review of electric heating options in line with their forward sustainability strategy. We ran a number of iterations on the SAP calculations for building regulations, to inform the client on the options available and also to allow the contractor to undertake a cost check, given that the scheme had already been let based on a gas wet heating system. We attended a meeting with the client to review the options to better help them understand the issues surrounding the sustainable options available and the differences in the results. Subsequently the client has asked us to provide an online seminar for their staff to help explain the issues surrounding their estate and the sustainable options moving forward.
