For this project we completed the M&E design.

The mechanical services installation consisted of the supply and installation of all necessary plant and equipment. This was to provide heating, ventilation, domestic services and above ground drainage to the blocks. New gas and water supplies were installed below ground to each block and to the boiler position within the Utility Room. GLD designed the following mechanical systems: above ground soil and waste, domestic hot water service (DHWS),  external and internal cold water main (MCWS), low pressure hot water heating (LPHW), extract ventilation, vibration isolation, insulation, heating, hot water and mechanical ventilation controls, controls wiring, flushing, water treatment, sterilisation, testing and commissioning.

The electrical services consisted of the supply, delivery, positioning, installation, setting to work, testing and commissioning of the Engineering Services System. Electrical work included: Provision of incoming electrical supply from the adjacent building, new containment systems to suit the outlet positions indicated, low voltage Installation including new distribution board and associated metering, new lighting, external lighting, emergency lighting and associated lighting controls, new power to outlet positions, coordination with clients’ direct installers for client supplied items, new fire alarm installation with a connection into existing system located within the building next door, electrical supplies associated with mechanical equipment, new earthing and bonding, testing and commissioning.
