The Headland Hotel in Newquay opened its doors to guests in June 1900. It was the height of sophistication for its time with electric lights and both hot and cold running water.
Fast forward 100 years and things have moved on somewhat. In 2017, the owners began work on a new spa building with indoor and outdoor pools, plus a new cafe and kitchen.
We worked with the design team to create building services that would meet the needs of a 12st century, luxury hotel, discretely embedded into the building.
The new space’s sea front location meant particular planning and corrosion resistance and some complex integration between the structure and the pool plant.
